Testnya bukan real live lo

Ini cuma analisis aja lo, tesnya ga langsung menguji berapa lama loading situs tersebut. (Hasilnya akan sama, walaupun diulang-ulang, kecuali ada perubahan size+kuantitasnya)
Terlepas dari aktif tidaknya http compression atau caching metode, setidaknya bisa menjadi dasar optimisasi situs.
Kalo menurut ane, secara itung-itungan waktu 63.75 detik 'tuk download file (pake modem 56Kbps) dengan ukuran sekitar 280kb bener kan?
Yang perlu dicatat, adalah ukuran file untuk tipe image yang ga bisa di compress lagi (klo bisa, paling cuma berkurang dibawah 5%). Berapa coba ukurannya?
Oh iya menurut testnya, jumlah objek sangat mempengaruhi tambahan waktu loadingnya, rata-rata untuk tiap objek ada tambahan waktu sekitar 0,2 detik (katanya lo)
Kalo testing situs detik.com lebih parah lagi, banyak amat file image+multimedianya :D
Sayangnya situs ane di IIX ga bisa :(( - lemot amat ya bandwitchnya
Hitung waktu download
Sebenarnya cara hitungnya bukan 280 KB bagi 56 Kbps saja, kok begitu?
Karena ada beberapa faktor yang terlibat di sini: compressi modem, cache website dari Drupal (untuk anonimous users), proses rendering browser dan sabagainya. kalo kita test pake stop watch atau langsung (real sampai website completed code diterima) maka waktunya umumnya lebih singkat krn modem compression sgt berpengaruh di sini.
Gunakan speed test yang independent dan umum digunakan. Barusan saya test drupal-id.com 1.71 secs sedangkan detik.com cuma 0.81 secs. Kalo anda uji dengan program buatan sendiri maka jangan gunakan 280 KB bagi 56 Kbps tetapi manfaatkan completed code pada Apache (setiap website yg complete mk akan terjadi completed code), dengan demikian waktu yg didapat adalah waktu praktek bukan terori.
Mengenai Server IIX saya juga heran apa sebenarnya yg terjadi di sana. Semua website client gw yg di IIX tidak bisa diakses dari LN krn timeout. Kalo begini lebih baik pakai server LN daripada bisnis terganggu. Mungkin memang server IIX hanya untuk Indonesia aja.
